◎CGIA Chairman Jinhua Liu:After negotiating and exchanging with related government departments of culture, public security, and industry and information technology many times, we had reached a consensus on supporting the animation, game and amusement cultural industry to develop towards a sunny and healthy direction. However, the related departments of the new government are adjusting and improving their functions, so the promulgation of related industry policies has been postponed. The authorities concerned have put supporting the animation and game industry first and regulating the industry second and will implement both simultaneously. Also, the scope of reform movements will be expanded. The authorities will take the entire industry into consideration, make thorough planning and hammer out better and grander development plans. Therefore, we all should place trust in the efforts made by the government and the authorities concerned in supporting the industry’s development.

What is the next step? I believe: first, we should solidify our confidence and continue our efforts because the main direction taken by the central government to support the animation and game industry’s development remains unchanged; second, we should strengthen independent development, keep abreast of market trends and develop more game products that are appealing to the public, healthy, innovative and distinctive; third, we should attach importance to technology development, pay attention to changes in the industry and changes in consumer needs, attach importance to the adjustment of industry structure, understand the industry’s development direction, move toward diversified development when catering to consumer needs, and lead market consumption; fourth, we should strengthen self-discipline, pay attention to social image and manage to get more support and understanding of society; when the government’s policies give more support, the regulation is also stricter, so the industry should solidify its confidence, cooperate with the government and control itself to let society understand and support the industry’s development.

◎Chairman Ben-li Su of Wahlap: Despite a slight drop in the scale of this year’s show, we can see the great efforts our enterprises have put into based on the products exhibited and the show’s energetic ambience. Although the challenges we have faced over the year have been very tough, the greatest difficulty can actually steel an enterprise. I. UNIS: Dance Baby Recruitment Challenge

The firm specializes in providing a variety of iron cabinets for game machines. At the event it showcased various cabinets for slot games and pinball games.

The company specializes in manufacturing all types of cabinets and has built a good reputation in the industry with exquisite workmanship and extensive product categories. At the exhibitor’s booth there were a range of cabinets.

The company presented the mini train product “The Undersea World”, which uses dark blue as the main tone and features sea creatures on the top of each car to tie in with the game theme.
 
Significant exhibition effectiveness achieved
Affected by the macro environment, this year’s GTI China Asia Expo experienced a slight decline in scale, but still gathered major companies from China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and large-scale overseas companies to present brand new products and cutting-edge creations. It provided numerous e-Game manufacturers and visitors with the latest information about the industry and allowed overseas industry professionals to seek the best opportunities for cooperation.

According to the exhibitors’ feedback, most of them said that through this year’s GTI Asia China Expo they have received a good number of orders from overseas and local buyers and achieved better results than in the previous year. For future cooperation, the show has brought far-reaching subsequent benefits for many companies.

Watching this year’s exhibits closely, we noticed that the proportion of the children-related intellectual category of products has increased. Also, this year’s show not only attracted the industry members who have been devoted to the related fields for many years but also saw many new faces. According to China’s data on fertility statistics, from 2007 through 2011 China had an average of 16 million new born babies annually and had 195 million children aged 0 to 12 at the end of 2011, representing a tremendous market of more than RMB$900 billion for baby and children’s products. In view of these figures, the future market of children-category games will become the key sector for the game machine industry.
