Jointly organized by the Taiwan Amusement Machine Association (TAMA), the Taiwan Digital Entertainment Association (TDEA) and Haw Ji Co., Ltd., the only professional arcade game trade event in Taiwan – the 22nd GTI Asia Taipei Expo is taking place on May 7-9 at Zones B & C of the Taipei World Trade Center Exhibition Hall 1 in Xinyi District of Taipei.  On 10 a.m., May 7, the opening ceremony will commence and be attended by guests from the government and industry associations that the show organizers have specially invited.  The special guests include Legislator Lin Yu-fang, Deputy Director General Chen Mi-shun of the Department of Commerce, Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA), Deputy Director Hsieh Jung-feng of the Information Technology Industries Division under the Industrial Development Bureau of MOEA, Secretary-General Huang Wen-jung of the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), Chairman Ye Weitang of the Zhongshan Gaming & Amusement Association (ZGAA), Chairman Yeh Zhen-kun of the Taiwan Family Entertainment Development Association, Vice-Chairman Chaing You-te of the National Recreational Trade Association of Taiwan, and Chairman Wei Wen-bin of the Gift Claim Vendor Association of Taiwan.

Being a grand annual event for the industry, GTI Asia Taipei Expo this year will present a broad array of educational-type games, amusement-type commercial games and peripheral parts and accessories from more than 60 companies from the upstream, midstream and downstream sectors of the arcade game industry.  Besides prominent Taiwanese commercial game developers including IGS, Injoy Motion, Feiloli, Paokai, Pan Asia Amusement and Saint-Fun International, the exhibitor cast also includes overseas companies from the US, Macao, Hong Kong and China.  GTI Asia Taipei Expo is an influential international game show that can facilitate MIT (made-in-Taiwan) products to gain and solidify global presence and successfully gather domestic and overseas industry professionals and buyers.

The renowned Taiwan-based commercial game developer IGS will continue to be one of the focuses at this year’s show with a sizable booth displaying exciting and engaging pieces.  Its 5D interactive motion theater “Monster Eye”, “Danz Base”, a passion-eliciting dance game, “Temple Treasure” and “Adventure Castle” will bring visitors a visual and tactile feast of absolute enjoyment.  At the stand of Injoy Motion, there will be several eye-dazzling simulators developed by the company.  Pan Asia Amusement will exhibit the newest-generation shooting game from Japan “Time Crisis V” and the well-known car racing game “Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune 5” as well as a variety of family entertainment games.  As for the Gaming Zone exhibition area, one of the highlights at this year’s show, attendees will see an amazing mix of Taiwan-developed gaming machines and products as well as high-end European and American casino games.
